Inner Harmony Yoga and Movement Centre is located 14kms from the centre of Brisbane on the bayfront at Sandgate. We also are located in Hamilton which is 5kms from the centre of Brisbane. We offer a variety of yoga classes, workshops and retreats catering to the various bodies and mind states. Our aim is to provide yoga practices which encourage students to explore their potential and to find yoga techniques which support living in harmony with self, others and the environment. Class Descriptions Beginner’s Classes Designed for beginners or for those who wish to work at a slower pace. The emphasis is on learning to free the breath and integrate it with body alignment and movement. Students develop an awareness of their body in its present condition and what is needed to create space and freedom in the body. Static and simple flowing movements focus on building strength and flexibility.
General Classes Designed for advanced beginners and those practising regular yoga. All classes start with a short centering. Postures are refined for longer periods and intermediate postures and sequences are introduced. Yogic breathing techniques are combined with bandhas (muscular locks) and other yoga practices introduced. Classes conclude with a deep relaxation.
Vinyasa Flow Classes Focuses on linking traditional postures through movement and the breath. This is a dynamic, flowing form of yoga which requires alignment and fully focused awareness of the body . The practice becomes a moving meditation. Classes conclude with a deep relaxation.
Individual Tuition Session For those who prefer a one-on-one environment to develop an individual practice to suit their particular needs. |
